              Hi! My name is Heather, but around here, they just call me Mama. I am a stay at home mom and (beginner) homeschooler. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2006. We have 2 little boys that keep me very busy! I am so blessed to be a keeper of our home and to be able to watch them grow. 

             I am a born again Christian saved only by the grace of God. I am striving each day to live my life and raise my children according to God's word. I am by no means perfect and spent much of my youth being saved but NOT being a Christian. I "backslid" into sin and wasted several years. While expecting our first son in 2008, I realized that I was not going to be the mother I wanted to be (or the one He wanted me to be) unless I stopped serving the world and started serving Christ. During the same time, the Lord burdened me about modesty and gave me a great desire to homeschool. I love my little family dearly and want to be a example for my boys of a Christian woman.
            I finally started this blog after finding so much encouragement in other blogs. The name "Cheerios On My Floor" is inspired by my 2 favorite little monsters.  After sweeping up Cheerios for what seemed like the tenth time, I suggested to my husband jokingly that maybe that should be the name of my blog if I wrote one. He loved the name and there you have it!
